Sharp cash registers information.

The XE-A102 is a very basic cash register, which only has a small cash drawer (coins have to be mixed), numeric only display and receipt (detailed reporting not possible), the 102 uses a drum printer, rather than thermal so the printing is very slow. In summary the XE-A102 is designed for light duty use only. The XE-A203 is a far more substantial machine with a full size cash drawer, LCD display and thermal printer. The one draw back of the 203 is that it only has one printer for receipts whilst the journal (or audit roll) is stored electronically and must be printed out on a regular basis. Click here to read about how to enforce Electronic Journal Prining on a daily basis. The XE-A213 is the hospitality version of the XE-A203 - identical except it has a flat keyboard with 70 PLU keys rather than a raised 'retail' keyboard. The XE-A303 is very similar to the the XE-A203 except it has two thermal printers - meaning that you can give receipts out to your customers and automatically have a journal roll for your records. Of the four models in Sharp's XE-A range of cash registers the XE-A303 is the best machine for retailers and the XE-A213 is best as an 'entry level' hospitality cash register.
